Our dormitory houses poor young men and women from the villages who are enrolled in university. They are sponsored for their education, food and housing. The parents are responsible to give what they can to participate in their child’s schooling. At times they will sell a cow or a small piece of land to buy a moto for them to drive to school or help with their weekly spending money for transportation, books, etc.

They study the Bible one evening a week and attend church on Sunday. They run a Sunday school for the neighborhood children, too. Because of the amount of hours they spend in ministry, Bible education and housework/cooking, they are prohibited to work, enabling them to keep their focus on their education and serving God. (Fourth-year students are permitted to work in internships.)

If you’d like to help our dormitory expenses or sponsor a student, please click on our donate page. In the designation area, write what you are giving toward. Any questions, please write us at office@refugeforthepoor.org Thank you!
